Yoshi's Woolly World - Wii U is a colorful side-scrolling platformer set in a handcrafted world made from yarn, fabric, buttons, and other textile-inspired materials. Yoshi sets out to rescue fellow Yoshis after Kamek unravels them, traveling through imaginative stages filled with enemies, hidden paths, environmental puzzles, and collectible secrets.
Gameplay builds on classic Yoshi mechanics such as flutter jumping, swallowing enemies, and throwing projectiles, with yarn balls replacing the traditional eggs. Players can unravel parts of the environment, create platforms, and search each level for hidden Wonder Wool, Smiley Flowers, and other collectibles. The game also supports two-player local cooperative play, allowing two Yoshis to work together and reach areas in creative ways.
