NFL GameDay '97 - PlayStation is a licensed football simulation featuring NFL teams, players, and stadiums from the 1996 season. Built as a follow-up to the original NFL GameDay, the game lets players take control of their favorite franchises and compete through hard-hitting matchups with passing, rushing, tackling, and defensive play calling.
Gameplay includes exhibition games, season play, playoffs, and multiplayer competition, with offensive and defensive playbooks offering a variety of formations and strategies. Players can manage substitutions, choose plays, control individual athletes on the field, and adjust their approach based on down, distance, and game situation.
