Lured by rumors of incredible riches, Wario ventures deep into its ancient chambers, where he must collect four Jewel Pieces in each level, uncover hidden treasures, and ultimately rescue a captive princess while claiming the pyramid's legendary fortune for himself.
Each stage blends exploration, platforming, and puzzle-solving with Wario's signature brute-force abilities. Shoulder charge through walls, ground pound enemies, toss objects, and discover secret passages hidden throughout the pyramid. As the adventure unfolds, Wario undergoes humorous transformations—including Zombie Wario, Puffy Wario, Vampire Bat Wario, and Flaming Wario—each granting unique abilities required to solve puzzles and reach new areas. Once the level's frog switch is activated, the action shifts into a frantic timed escape back to the entrance before the pyramid seals shut.
