In a departure from the platforming style of its home console cousins, The Incredible Crash Dummies for the Game Boy is a high-stakes minigame collection starring the world’s most accident-prone professionals, Slick and Spin. Driven by a simple goal—to earn enough "buckaroos" for a well-deserved vacation—Slick must survive five grueling days of extreme safety testing across various hazardous environments. The game’s humor and charm lean heavily into the 90s toy line’s aesthetic, focusing on the spectacular ways these plastic heroes can be mangled, smashed, and obliterated for the sake of consumer safety.
Each "day" on the calendar presents a completely unique gameplay challenge that tests your timing and reflexes rather than traditional combat skills. You’ll find yourself edging across a skyscraper in Roof Jump, aiming for the perfect "penetration fall" through balconies, or navigating a treacherous slalom in Ski Slope, where you must flatten snowmen for extra pay. Other events include the high-speed Air Bumper car crash, a frantic race to defuse explosives in the Bomb Factory, and the notoriously difficult Cruise Missile flight, where you must guide a rocket through tight crevices using delicate thruster bursts.
