Bionicle Heroes - Wii
In Bionicle Heroes, players are transported to the island of Voya Nui to stop the villainous Piraka from using the Mask of Life to wreak havoc. Released in 2007 for the Wii (a few months after other consoles), this third-person shooter lets you cycle between the six Toa Inika—Jaller, Hahli, Kongu, Matoro, Hewkii, and Nuparu—each with unique elemental weapons and abilities needed to traverse the terrain and solve LEGO-style environmental puzzles.
The gameplay is a high-energy "run-and-gun" where collecting LEGO studs fills your Hero Mode meter. Once activated, your Toa turns golden and invincible, and the game’s iconic orchestral score kicks into high gear. The Wii version is famously unique (and sometimes polarizing) for its control scheme: unlike the dual-analog setup of the Xbox 360, the Wii version uses the IR Pointer exclusively for camera rotation. You must point the Wii Remote toward the edges of the screen to turn your character, while firing remains locked to a reticle in the center of your view.
