Paper Mario: Sticker Star for the Nintendo 3DS brings the Paper Mario series back to a lighthearted, storybook-style adventure set in the colorful Sticker Star world. The story begins during a peaceful Sticker Fest, where a powerful Royal Sticker is shattered, scattering its pieces across the land. With Princess Peach missing once again, Mario teams up with Kersti, a helpful sticker fairy, to recover the Royal Stickers and stop Bowser from causing further chaos.
Unlike earlier entries, Sticker Star places a strong emphasis on exploration and resource-based combat. Battles are turn-based, but Mario’s attacks and abilities are powered entirely by collectible stickers found throughout the world. Each sticker is consumed when used, encouraging players to think strategically about when and how to fight. Outside of combat, special “Thing” stickers based on real-world objects play a key role in solving environmental puzzles and overcoming major obstacles.
Often referred to simply as Sticker Star, this Nintendo 3DS title is known for its bright papercraft visuals, humorous dialogue, and puzzle-focused design.
