You play as Luso Clemens, a schoolboy who is transported into a magical book and finds himself in the world of Ivalice. Along the way, he meets familiar faces and factions from the Final Fantasy universe, including Moogles, Bangaa, Viera, and more.
The heart of the game lies in its deep job system, which features over 50 classes across multiple races, from staple roles like Black Mage and Ninja to unique ones like Trickster and Seer. As your clan grows, you’ll customize units, equip powerful gear, and unlock powerful abilities that influence every turn of battle.
Combat takes place on isometric grid-based maps, with the Judge system returning to add special rules and bonuses to each battle. Completing optional objectives can earn rare loot and increase clan privileges, adding an extra layer of strategy and replayability.
