Kirby and the Forgotten Land (Japanese title: 『星のカービィ ディスカバリー』, Hoshi no Kābī Disukerī) for Nintendo Switch marks a major evolution for the Kirby series, bringing the pink hero into a fully 3D world for the first time. Set in a mysterious land filled with abandoned cities, overgrown malls, and crumbling theme parks, the game follows Kirby as he explores this forgotten civilization and rescues captured Waddle Dees from the Beast Pack.
Gameplay blends classic Kirby abilities with open 3D environments, allowing players to freely move, explore, and battle enemies in spacious stages. Familiar copy abilities like Sword, Fire, and Bomb return, reimagined for 3D combat, alongside the new Mouthful Mode, where Kirby transforms by swallowing large objects such as cars, vending machines, and traffic cones to solve puzzles and access new areas. Boss fights, collectibles, and optional challenges add depth and replay value throughout the adventure.
