The result is a clean, low-noise image and flexible connectivity using SNES, N64, and GameCube AV cables—ideal for CRTs, professional scalers, or capture devices.
Expansion audio support is included for compatible Famicom games and flashcarts (e.g., EverDrive). This enables enhanced sound chips used in certain Famicom titles. Note that expansion audio is not active with standard NES cartridges.
Refurbishment & upgrade details
- Tim Worthington NESRGB installed for RGB and S-Video output with significantly improved clarity over composite.
- SNES Multi-Out added (LaserBear & Voultar) to use SNES/N64/GameCube AV cables and accessories.
- Expansion audio added via Voultar’s Expansion Audio Board or the Firebrand X method (method depends on parts availability).
- Original 72-pin connector cleaned and adjusted for strong cartridge contact (no aftermarket replacements to avoid “death-grip” issues).
- All electrolytic capacitors replaced on the main board and in the RF modulator.
- 7805 voltage regulator replaced for stable power delivery.
- Ultra-sonic shell cleaning; motherboard dust removal; power, AV, and controller ports and switches cleaned and treated for smooth operation.

Just got mine delivered and it's a night and day difference with the RGB mod! Transaction was smooth and painless and very fast shipping! Great communication! They did a great job restoring the NES and making it look and feel like brand new! The console was shinny, smooth, and extremely well packaged! Looks brand new and all games play very well with the clean and restored pins on the nes. Literally no problems at all with the console! I use the retrogamingcables N64 RGB scart cable and it booted up with 0 issues. Look how crisp Mario looks like with the RGB mod! Thanks for the amazing console and restoring it so it has many many more years of usage!

The console performance is top notch. Came DOUBLE BOXED!!
The cartridge slot worked the 1st time without being pushed down it works amazingly well!
The pixels are sharp enough to cut glass.
The soldering inside was almost perfect.
Just 1 wire was being pinched by the RF shield.
The console shell itself was extremely beat up, all the RCAs were solid white oxidation the RF and RCA labels were completely worn off. The entire shell was scuffed and scratched.
I'm currently sourcing parts to put it in a new transparent red shell after I attempt the salvage the metal parts with a dremel.
Let me start this review by saying the packaging was some of the best I’ve experienced. The best way I can describe it is as if you were opening a brand new system.
Chris does an awesome job with support if question arise. He was able to walk me through solutions to any question I had.
I will definitely be purchasing more consoles and recommending to others!
For those who are worried, I’ve also purchased from pink skeleton dragonhoard gaming and retrodigital. Bitjumpgaming is now on my list of installers/modders!
