Description
The Saboteur for PlayStation 3 is an open-world action-adventure set in Nazi-occupied France during World War II. Players take on the role of Sean Devlin, an Irish race car driver turned resistance fighter, who embarks on a personal quest for revenge after a betrayal by a ruthless Nazi officer. As Sean becomes more deeply involved with the French Resistance, he works to undermine the occupation and help liberate the people of Paris.
The game combines exploration, stealth, combat, and sabotage across a large open world inspired by Paris and the surrounding French countryside. Players infiltrate enemy strongholds, destroy military installations, assassinate key targets, and disrupt Nazi operations using a variety of weapons, explosives, and guerrilla tactics.
A unique visual style distinguishes occupied areas from liberated regions. Areas under Nazi control appear bleak and desaturated, while successful acts of resistance gradually restore color and life to the world, visually reflecting the growing hope of the French people.
