The SEGA Genesis CDX Console is a compact, all-in-one system that combines the SEGA Genesis and SEGA CD into a single unit, offering a streamlined way to play both cartridge and CD-based games. Released as a premium model, the CDX delivers the full Genesis experience alongside enhanced SEGA CD titles, all within a smaller, more portable design compared to the original setups.

This console supports standard SEGA Genesis cartridges as well as SEGA CD discs, giving players access to a wide library of 16-bit classics and full-motion video titles. It features a built-in top-loading CD drive, front cartridge slot, and AV output for connection to televisions, along with headphone controls for audio adjustment directly on the unit.

As one of the most unique hardware variations in the SEGA lineup, the Genesis CDX stands out for its space-saving design and dual-format compatibility, making it a notable option for collectors and those looking to experience both Genesis and SEGA CD games on a single console.

Refurbished for reliability: Cleaned inside and out with attention to the disc drive/laser, power/reset switches, fan, and AV/multi-out ports. The original laser is replaced if it doesn't play any SEGA CD games.  Components like capacitors, laser, fan, and other components are replaced as needed. Included controller has been cleaned and tested. 

• Good Condition: Console is fully functional and in overall good cosmetic condition. It may show light signs of wear such as minor scuffs, small scratches, or slight discoloration from normal use, but nothing that significantly impacts its appearance.
• Acceptable Condition: Console is fully functional but shows noticeable cosmetic wear. This may include dents, cracks, scratches, stickers or residue, marker/ink, or heavier discoloration. These flaws are cosmetic only and do not affect performance.
