In Stimpy’s Invention, the chaotic duo from Nickelodeon’s most controversial cartoon lands on the SEGA Genesis in a platformer that perfectly captures the show's gross-out humor and surreal art style. The plot kicks off when Stimpy’s latest machine, the Mutate-O-Matic, explodes, scattering its vital components across the neighborhood, the city zoo, and the great outdoors. Ren, predictably furious, must team up with his "bloated eediot" pal to retrieve the parts before the neighborhood is permanently mutated.
The gameplay is defined by its innovative cooperative engine. While many platformers of the era relegated the second player to a simple follower, Stimpy’s Invention requires both characters to work together to solve puzzles and traverse the environment. You can perform "Team Moves" like using Ren as a pole vault, turning Stimpy into a human jackhammer to break through floors, or squeezing Stimpy to float through the air like a balloon.
