Army Men: Sarge's Heroes - Nintendo 64 is a third-person action game that brings the classic green plastic army men concept to life in a battle between the Green and Tan armies. Players take control of Sarge, a veteran Green soldier tasked with rescuing allies, sabotaging enemy operations, and fighting through a series of missions set across oversized household and battlefield environments.
Gameplay combines shooting, exploration, vehicle use, and mission-based objectives. Sarge can wield a variety of weapons, including rifles, bazookas, grenades, and flamethrowers, while some stages include tanks and other vehicles. Levels feature enemy soldiers, environmental hazards, collectibles, and objectives such as destroying targets or escorting friendly units. The Nintendo 64 version also supports local multiplayer for competitive battles with friends.
Developed and published by The 3DO Company in 1999, Army Men: Sarge's Heroes became one of the best-known entries in the Army Men series and later received a sequel.
