Description
Alien 3 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System is a side-scrolling action game inspired by the 1992 science-fiction horror film. Take control of Ellen Ripley after arriving on the prison planet Fiorina "Fury" 161, where a deadly Xenomorph infestation threatens the facility. Armed with an assortment of weapons and limited resources, Ripley must complete dangerous missions while surviving encounters with the relentless creatures.
Explore interconnected areas of the prison complex while completing objectives such as rescuing prisoners, repairing equipment, sealing doors, and eliminating Xenomorph threats. Ripley has access to weapons including a pulse rifle, grenade launcher, and flamethrower, along with equipment needed to navigate the facility. Mission terminals provide objectives throughout each stage, encouraging exploration while strict time limits and aggressive enemies keep the pressure high.
Developed by Probe Software and published by LJN in 1993, Alien 3 expands beyond the events of the film to create a more action-focused experience built around exploration, mission objectives, and combat.
