Nintendo DSi XL System - Blue

The Nintendo DSi XL in Midnight Blue is the large-scale iteration of Nintendo's seventh-generation handheld, specifically designed to enhance visual clarity and comfort. Released in North America on July 11, 2010, this model features dual 4.2-inch LCD screens, which are 93% larger than those of the Nintendo DS Lite. Despite the significant size increase, the screens maintain a native resolution of 256 x 192 pixels, resulting in a lower pixel density that makes in-game text and icons significantly easier to read for all ages.

This system serves as a complete multimedia hub, equipped with two 0.3-megapixel cameras (one external and one internal) for capturing and editing photos with interactive lenses. It features a robust built-in microphone for voice recognition and the Nintendo DSi Sound application, which allows users to play and manipulate AAC music files stored on an SD card. The Midnight Blue model sports a sophisticated two-tone design with a high-gloss top and a textured matte bottom for improved grip during extended play sessions.

Out of the box, the DSi XL comes pre-loaded with a suite of functional and entertainment software, including Brain Age Express: Math, Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, and Photo Clock. It also includes the Nintendo DSi Browser and Flipnote Studio for creative animation. To accommodate its larger form factor, the system includes two styluses: a traditional one that docks within the unit and a 5.09-inch pen-shaped stylus designed for superior ergonomic comfort.
