Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 MW3 - PlayStation 3 is a military first-person shooter that continues the story of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The campaign follows multiple soldiers and special operations units as a global conflict escalates across cities including New York, London, Paris, and Berlin, bringing the Modern Warfare trilogy’s storyline toward its conclusion.
Gameplay features fast-paced shooting, scripted action sequences, vehicle encounters, and mission-based objectives across the single-player campaign. The game also includes Special Ops missions and Survival mode, where players face increasingly difficult waves of enemies while earning money for weapons, equipment, and support. Competitive multiplayer features a wide selection of maps, weapons, perks, killstreak-style rewards, and progression systems, although some original online functionality may no longer operate exactly as it did at launch.
Developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision in 2011, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 became one of the biggest releases of the PlayStation 3 era.
