Super Mario Galaxy - Wii is a 3D platforming adventure that sends Mario into outer space after Bowser abducts Princess Peach and carries her castle away. Guided by Rosalina and the star-like Lumas, Mario travels between imaginative galaxies filled with small planets, unusual gravity, colorful enemies, and creative environments as he gathers Power Stars to restore the Comet Observatory.
Gameplay builds on traditional Mario platforming with gravity-based mechanics that let Mario run around spherical worlds, launch between planets, and explore stages from constantly changing perspectives. The Wii Remote is used for actions such as collecting Star Bits, activating Launch Stars, and performing Mario’s spin attack. Each galaxy introduces new challenges, including platforming courses, boss battles, transformations, puzzles, and hidden objectives.
Developed by Nintendo EAD Tokyo and published by Nintendo in 2007, Super Mario Galaxy became one of the Wii’s most celebrated releases and a major entry in the Super Mario series.
