In Monster 4X4 World Circuit, Ubisoft delivers a high-speed monster truck racer that leans heavily into arcade physics, featuring massive jumps and destructible environments. As a launch title for the Wii in 2006, it was designed to showcase the system's new motion capabilities, often coming bundled with a plastic steering wheel attachment (developed by Thrustmaster) that housed the Wii Remote. You can take the wheel of over 40 powerful trucks—including eccentric models like a school bus and a fire engine—as you race across global locations from the pyramids of Egypt to the snowy peaks of Russia.
The gameplay is defined by its "aggressive" motion controls; you steer by tilting the remote (or wheel), but you must thrust the controller forward to trigger your nitro boost and pull it back to brake. While in mid-air after a jump, flicking the remote in different directions allows you to perform stunts that earn you cash for truck upgrades. Beyond the core Monster League Championship, the game is a popular choice for local parties, featuring four-player split-screen and four chaotic mini-games, including "Monster Ball"—a vehicular take on soccer.
