Developed by TimeGate Studios and published by SouthPeak Games, players assume the role of an elite soldier in the 8th Armored Infantry—better known as "Section 8"—a unit deployed to the galaxy's most dangerous combat zones to defend humanity from a growing military threat.
Unlike traditional shooters, Section 8 allows players to deploy directly onto the battlefield from orbit, choosing their own insertion point before crashing to the surface at incredible speeds. This unique "burn-in" mechanic creates dynamic battles where combat can erupt anywhere at any time. Players can customize their loadouts with a variety of futuristic weapons, armor upgrades, and tactical equipment to suit different playstyles.
Fast-paced infantry combat is complemented by drivable vehicles, automated defenses, deployable turrets, and jet-assisted mobility that lets players quickly traverse expansive maps.
