The game’s top-down perspective captures the chaos of urban racing, featuring recognizable landmarks like Times Square and Tower Bridge as you navigate through completely open city streets.
The gameplay emphasizes speed and exploration, as there are no set tracks—only a series of checkpoints you must reach by any route necessary. You’ll build an arsenal of over 40 vehicle variants, ranging from enhanced taxis and buses to high-performance tuners, by defeating specific "hookmen" like Emilio Sanchez and Keiko Hatano in one-on-one "pink slip" duels. Progress is managed through a 4-digit password system, and competitive players can link up with friends for intense multi-car races.
