Players follow a group of warriors drawn into the growing struggle, traveling between towns and battlefields while uncovering a larger story involving political intrigue, betrayal, and the fate of the world.
Gameplay takes place on grid-based maps and emphasizes careful positioning, terrain, attack range, and turn management. The RAP system gives characters action points that can be spent on movement and abilities, while conserving points can affect how quickly a unit acts again. Players can also perform coordinated Session attacks, develop characters through different skills and equipment, and use the game’s Coinfeigm system to access magical abilities tied to various elemental and spiritual powers.
